Christine Amongin, Director of Kris Amo African Fashion Redefines Female Entrepreneurship

Meet the gorgeous, intelligent, ambitious Christine Martha Amongin famously known as Kris because of the brand she has created and maintained at a very young age.

Kris is an Entrepreneur on a mission to revolutionize African Fabrics and Fashion.

This upcoming star is very enthusiastic about Entrepreneurship and seeks to help build others up in that field as well.

At just the age of 21, she runs an African Fashion business known as Kris Amo, she works as the Entrepreneurship Director at Nextbigidea256 and also Head of Production at Maya Clothing.

With all these responsibilities, she is pursuing a diploma in law at LDC and a Bachelors’ Degree in Social Work at Makerere University. Anyone would want to be like Kris when they grow up. What were you doing at 21? 

Our Bloom of the day started Kris Amo in 2018 during her senior five while in school, she started small by selling African print chokers.

It’s been four years since Christine started her business and because of this brand, she has been able to get two more jobs.

Maya clothing, where Kris manages the production is a clothing app that deals in all kinds of clothing especially for ladies. She controls the production of all the clothing you see on the app starting from the purchase of material up until the final product is made.

Nextbigidea256 is an incubator of bold new ideas and an enabler of breakthrough changes to empower Uganda’s youth and to contribute to the transformation of Uganda. Kris heads the sector of Entrepreneurship and Innovation whereby she creates an engaging platform to accommodate many youths in Entrepreneurship and innovation and successfully enable them to achieve their goals in various ways.

Recently this Fashion angel was featured in Director Woman Issue 01, an online magazine that features professional and business Women of Color from Ghana, Nigeria, South Africa, and Uganda.

Type4girl’s Director Woman Magazine is a pan African women’s career and business digital magazine based in South Africa that celebrates, educates, and empowers tomorrow’s women, today.  It is published bi-annually in April and October. So be on the lookout for the April issue next year.

This rising star is about to be the next big deal in the Fashion and Entrepreneurship world, she deserves all applause! 

When Kris is not running up and about with work and school, you will most probably find her cooking, listening to podcast, or watching a series.
