I’m not good with alarms, I don’t want to lie. One of my biggest challenges as a person is getting out of bed. I usually wake up at 6:50am to get ready for my day. But that’s after setting initial alarms at 6:00, 6:15, 6:30, and sometimes 6:45(it’s that bad).

But last night, I set that alarm for 5:00 and woke up at 5:15(somebody buy me flowers), please congratulate me. I never thought I’d be capable of this.

I woke up for my team. That’s all I can say. I want to help them achieve their weight-loss and fitness goals, and that means I’ve got to show up for them. I did it today I know I’ll do it again tomorrow. I’ll show up again for them.

I started my workout at around 5:35. I did 18 exercises in 15:31 minutes and lost 361 calories. It always feels good to see some calories leave your body. Small progress is better than no progress at all. That’s my newly found mantra.

Day 1 results

This was our diet plan for day 1

⁃ Two glasses of lemon/turmeric water before breakfast

⁃ Breakfast: 1 boiled egg + water or any herbal tea (green tea, chamomile tea, hibiscus… any)

⁃ Lunch: Mashed potatoes + onions, tomatoes, carrots salad

⁃ Dinner: 1 spoon of rice + 1/2 of one avocado

⁃ Every participant was also required to have a glass of water after every two hours and have their dinner not later that 8pm( we understand people have different schedules and could be home late)

Basically, that was it for the first day. If one felt hungry, considering they were having much less food than they usually do, I encouraged them to have a banana or an apple, and not processed snacks.

I must say, I’m really proud of my team. They are all supposed to send screenshots of their workout report for each day and I’m impressed by their enthusiasm and motivation. I hope we can make it to the last day with the same kind of discipline.
