If you cringe at the thought of having acne, just know I used to feel the same way. Until my mom gave me her Turmeric, Eggs and Cinnamon face mask recipe.

Whenever we get skin problems, we’re usually quick to run to dermatologists, while neglecting some things we have inside our homes. The specialist will charge you a huge sum for the consultation session and the treatment creams or oils, yet you have the medicine right in your kitchen cabinet.

According to BBC Good Food, Cinnamon has antiviral, antifungal, and antibacterial properties which make it a good skin infection-fighting ingredient. Turmeric has also been found to have anti-oxidants and contain anti-inflammatory components which make the skin glow. Turmeric, Eggs And Cinnamon Face Mask Recipe

Here are the three ingredients you need for this mask:

Turmeric- It has amazing anti-inflammatory properties that protect your skin from any inflammations. It also unclogs skin pores.

Cinnamon – It helps in healing and drying out acne leaving no dark spots. It also adds a glow to your skin.

Eggs – Eggs have several vitamins which keep your skin looking ever young and healthy.

Recipe for the Turmeric-Cinnamon-Eggs face mask

1 teaspoon of Turmeric

1 teaspoon of cinnamon

1-2 eggs

Mix the measured amount of Turmeric and cinnamon to the eggs. Beat the mixture until it becomes smooth enough to be applied on the skin. Smear it all over your face, while avoiding your eyes and lips.

Let it stick for 15-20 minutes.

Wash your face with clean warm water. You might have to wash 3-4 times to completely remove the yellowish color from the Turmeric. Dry your face with a clean towel and apply a moisturizer of your choice. It is advisable to use the mask every 2-3 days for significant results.


Face masks are a great way to keep your skin healthy and glowing without having to go through the trouble of visiting or spending on dermatologists. Try a face mask at least once every week and you’ll see just how beautiful your skin will turn out. Take care of your skin and it will love you back.
